We took possession of the building that would eventually become Servaes Brewing Co. in September 2018. The 2,700-square-foot space was basically empty. There was a drop ceiling and a half-wall in the back of the space that needed torn down. Aside from that, it was practically a blank canvas.
We've made quite a bit of progress since then, and it's truly starting to look like a brewery. Sub-grade plumbing was completed before Christmas, framing began at the first of the year, electrical is almost wrapped up and dry wall has gone up throughout the space.
It's really fun to see the brewery coming together and actually being able to recognize parts of it, like the walk-in cooler, for example.
The brewery space should be finished in the next week or so, which is perfect timing for the arrival of our brewing equipment, which is slated to be delivered by the end of this month. In the coming weeks, we'll be wrapping up construction and starting the fun stuff — decor! We'll be building out our bar and taproom, putting together furniture and painting. Soon, we'll be brewing beer!
